We know it can be daunting coming in for a consultation like this, so we’ve broken the process down — so you can know exactly what you and your skin are in for.
What is our skin consultation for?
The thing about skincare is that it isn’t one size fits all. Of course, we can make general recommendations — everyone should cleanse, moisturise and use sunscreen as a minimum.
If you’re having issues with your skin though, or have a skin condition like acne — then it’s really beneficial for us to take the time to look beneath your skin’s surface.
By looking beneath the skin’s surface, we can discover what the actual cause is and more importantly, how we can eliminate it.
We’ll run you through your skin analysis and educate you along the way so you can maximise your skincare at home and achieve that lovely glow.
What happens at our skin consultation?
So, what happens at our skin consultation? Well, you’ll spend a one on one consultation with one of our highly trained skin therapists. Each of our therapists spends one day a week completing training, so we’re always up to date with the latest in skin therapy.
We’ll run you through a skin analysis, develop a treatment plan, prescribe any helpful products, and offer you some education around your skin.
Full Skin Analysis
Using our state of the art, advanced skin analysis machine, we’ll go beneath the surface of your skin. This allows us to see exactly what’s going on and identify the cause of your skin woes.
We can see everything from underlying pigmentation and signs of dehydration to how much oil or dryness is within your skin.
Using this high tech skin analysis machine, we can also see what your skin could possibly look like in the future, so we are able to prevent and treat early signs of ageing.
It’s important to note that there are other underlying causes the machine won’t show us. Factors like your environment, stress levels, and hormones won’t be clear through the skin analysis, but we can determine these causes through conversations with you.

Treatment Plan Development
Every treatment plan we develop is different because everyone’s skin is different. We’re here to help you improve on your individual skin concerns.
We’re experts in skin and skin problems. So, your plan will comprise only the skin treatments we absolutely know will work.
Don’t worry, we’re mindful of your budget too. We’ll develop a plan that’s in line with what you’re willing to spend but we’re also transparent. You’ll always totally understand which treatments will get you the results you need soonest.

Brush up on your skin knowledge
Once we’ve completed your skin analysis, we’ll run you through it. Your skin therapist will explain each point to you, breaking down what it is, what it means, and how that translates to your skincare.
You’ll bring in your at-home skincare and makeup products for us to analyse as well. Your skin therapist will run through the ingredients in your products — explaining which ingredients are benefiting your skin and which may be causing more harm.
We’ll chat about your lifestyle as well. If you’re working in a hot and humid climate, are frequently under stress, or have a hormonal condition, like PCOS, this is important for us to know.
Your skin therapist will educate you and factor those lifestyle considerations into your product prescription and your treatment plan.
Product Prescription
In this consultation, we’ll develop a full skincare treatment plan for you. The idea is that we go through the entire plan with you, including your product prescription. Don’t stress, you won’t need to memorise it — it comes in a nice booklet for you to keep referring back to.
You’ll receive a prescription for our medical-grade skincare at this stage. Often, through our skin consultations, we’re trying to rebuild your skin barrier and get it to its healthiest state.
So, your plan might specify one or two products to use while we’re still in that stage. Then, you might progress to using products with active ingredients in them — once your skin is ready!

We believe our $99 skin consultation is a really valuable investment for your skin. But we know it’s not realistic for everyone to come along to our Nundah clinic.
So, for our clients living interstate or regionally — or if you’re stuck in isolation and desperately want to get the process started, then this is for you. We offer a virtual skin consultation for $50.
Chatting over video chat or on the phone, we’ll run through the same process. The difference is that we don’t get to use our skin analysis machine, but we can use images to create a clearer picture.
